Paros information map

I have worked in a travel agency as a representative for many years. My job required to present the island of Paros, a small island in the Cyclades complex. Many people arriving from different countries needed guidance and assistance. A promotional map was necessary as the centre of every discussion with the guests. In case wifi does not work, or you need to contact the agency or the representative, a point of reference is essential. The above conditions led us to the idea of a printed triptych containing information about the most significant towns. Meanwhile, I was mapping the island physically for a long time since it was necessary to meet the guests, which assisted me in building the design. Feedback from the clients was also helpful. Most of our clients found the map useful. A few of them criticized the design, and I was there to see the pain points. Modern technologies like google maps are immense, but in some cases, you may need an ordinary print. So we have handed over a minimal design that would help the guest orientate. I started working hard on this illustration, and it took time and research. Below you can see the regions shown on the map.
